FD series rotary drum filter

The machine, built in an extremely sturdy way, completely in stainless steel in its structural elements, is used for the filtration of suspensions on industrial waters or on industrial process liquids.

The heart of the machine is constituted by a filtering drum, made with a bar of trapezoidal section wound in a spiral with a constant pitch, so as to obtain calibrated interstices along the surface of the drum, with a circumferential course.

On this drum, adequately fed by the flow of the suspension to be treated by means of a suitably shaped nacelle, solid particles are retained (with dimensions greater than those of the interstitial gap); the fluid thus cleaned, will cross the drum by gravity, and this second passage has the purpose of cleaning up the cracks that may have remained clogged.

The rotation of the drum, adjustable in speed, transfers by adhesion the particles from the deposition front to the detachment front, the latter made with a movable self-adhering scraper.

A purified fluid collection tank accompanies the machine and allows an easy connection to drain or recycle networks.

Filter selection and model

The grain size of the suspended material to be separated and the flow rates of the fluid to be treated together represent the basis for the model selection criteria: see the explanatory table; enter the table with the light between the bars and read the filter model on the value of the required flow rate.
